Fall engagement sessions are wildly popular in the midwest… and for good reason.
The air is crisp, comfy sweaters are being cycled back into your daily outfits and the leaves are turning shades of yellow, red and orange.
Here are some tips to help your autumn engagement photos turn out as awesome as you are!
- I allow up to 4 outfits during my sessions, but usually recommend keeping it to 2 or 3. Don’t try to turn your session into a photoshoot if you can keep it simple! The more time you spend changing, the less time we have to shoot and get in the grove.
- Scarves, sweaters, boots, long dresses/skirts and anything COZY is the key to making your autumn engagement session outfits fit in with the season.
- Neutrals, with a pop of burgundy or yellow both compliment the changing leaves and help you stand out.
- Choose a location with a view! If you can see a ton a trees in the background of your fall engagement session, that’s awesome!

Other great options for your autumn engagement session are local vineyards, apple orchards or a pumpkin patch!
