Dave + Stephanie’s wedding in the woods was the perfect mix of a day that fully represents them as a couple while still honoring the families they’re so close to.
Not only did D + S become family this past June, but Stephanie’s daughter officially gained a new “Daddy Dave.”
Let’s be honest though… I can tell from the way they interact, no ring or woodland ceremony was needed to make their family official.
The day began with the the girl’s getting ready at the couples home, while her soon-to-be husband enjoyed some time with the guys at his parent’s home across the street.
After hair, makeup and maybe a drink or two had wrapped up, the party was off to Bubolz Nature Preserve!
Many of the designs and decor for this woodland wedding were handmade by the bride. You can tell she has killer style just by looking at her shoes, am I right?!
Above all, the most impressive item thought up by the bride, was her wedding dress.
Yes, you read correctly.
Because of the help of a site called Anomolie, Stephanie was able to design the dress of her dreams.
Heading into this wedding, I had only briefly met D + S. But I was able to catch little glimpses into their lives throughout the day I spent with them.
As a result, leaving their wedding reception, I had grown a soft spot for this sweet, supportive and sentimental couple.
