If you’re in love with your home’s decor, get great natural light or are just plain proud that you own a house or have a roof over your head, having an at home engagement session is a great option!
Charlene + Nick have a relationship that is equal parts steamy and silly and had recently built their house, so I knew they’d be perfect candidates for an in home couple’s session.
My hope is that someday they can look back on these images and be able to see their authentic love story. There’s a time and a place for photos in a gorgeous field and trust me, I love all of that! Also, there’s just as much need for portraits in the place you raised your babies in, cooked dinners together, cuddled, cried and laughed in.
I know some of you (like me!) are reading this thinking it’s a great idea someday. Like… maybe when you buy your first place or get around to redecorating (if that ever happens).
You don’t have to do an in home session to be able to look back on a photos that tell a piece of your story!
Ask yourself these questions – Where did you meet? Where was your first date? What do you like to do for fun? What are you passionate about? Is there an adventure that you want to go on together?
Okay, so let’s say your first date was at a local coffee shop and you like to go to the skatepark together on the weekends. You can grab a coffee with your photographer and/or bust out the skateboard.
But for now, this in home session with bring you all of the coziness, pillow fights and kisses you can handle. So here’s what I like to imagine a day in Charlene + Nick’s house looks like…
